I have never bought one of those envelopes for taco night. Ever. Why? Everything I need for taco seasoning is already in my cabinet. It's cheaper to make, I know exactly what ingredients are used, and I can tweak the spices to my liking. I make a big batch of it so I have plenty of hassle free Taco Tuesdays. 2 tablespoons equals one seasoning packet. Brown 1 pound ground meat, add 2 tablespoons seasoning and 1 cup water or tomato juice and cook until the liquid reduces down to a sauce, about 10 minutes. This taco seasoning recipe will make 8-10 batches of taco meat and will keep for 1 year in the pantry, or longer in the fridge.
