MACARONI & CHEESE IN THE INSTANT POT

 

Kid-friendly and better-than-box cheesy macaroni in minutes! Serves 6-8

INGREDIENTS

16 oz macaroni noodles

4 cups water

2 tbsp butter

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp ground mustard

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

few dashes of hot sauce (optional)

8 oz shredded Colby-Jack cheese

4 oz Velveeta, cubed

DIRECTIONS

Place everything (except the 2 cheeses) into the Instant Pot making sure all the noodles are submerged under water. Place the lid on the cooker and make sure to close the seal. Pressure cook on HIGH for 3 minutes.

After the cooking time, release the pressure. Be aware, it may splatter!

When it’s safe to open, drop in the cheeses a little at a time. There will be liquid left from cooking and this will help create the sauce. Stir until all the cheese is melted and well combined. Serve.
